Fords is a collaboration between eighth generation Master Distiller, Charles Maxwell and Simon Ford of The 86 Co. Fords ship in water from a well in Mendocino County, California and steep a fabulous range of nine botanicals for 15 hours before distilling in their pot stills. This careful time and effort produces a very complex gin.
Fords Gin has a particularly high juniper content but this is not overpowering, instead it melds perfectly with the other flavours. There is a prominent aroma of lavender and citrus fruits, particularly grapefruit. This carries on over to the palate with the addition of strong celery and black pepper.
